This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.Fife Council's Intervention Training will cover the following outcomes, through a 30-45 minute interactive discussion and presentation, and through use of drug kits where attendees get to see and understand what these substances look like:
- Improve understanding and awareness of the most commonly used drugs at this time throughout Fife (both their current usage and the effects they may have)
- Consider the impact these substances have on their users (access to assistance and services)
- Consider the impact on significant others around the substance user (and look at help available for families in this situation)
- Destigmatise and make drug use more understood and allow significant others to understand the signs and symptoms of users
- Build understanding around the effects substances will have on users and the body
- Build understanding around common risks
- Establish which substances are addictive
- Consider the legal implications
- Access to BBV testing / Naloxone kits, explored and explained
