Growing Social and Therapeutic Horticulture in UK mental healthcare
Created: 12/08/2024In this online seminar, researchers at the University of Essex will discuss the findings of their MQ Transforming Mental Health funded systematic review and analysis exploring the effectiveness of social and therapeutic horticulture for the prevention and treatment of depression and anxiety and share the infographics they have developed to highlight their findings.
They will discuss how you, as mental health professionals, can use these different infographics as part of your professional practice and engage with local provisions to provide opportunities for your patients to get involved with social and therapeutic horticulture.
These discussions will inform best practice guidelines for use and dissemination of the infographics nationally and facilitate future partnerships for research and practice. They will also provide a sneak-peek of their newly developed video highlighting the findings of their research.
