Social Security Scotland want as many eligible young people as possible to apply for Job Start Payment.

Job Start Payment is a one-off payment of £314.45 to help with the costs of starting a new job including clothes, equipment, and transport.

The payment increases to £503.10 if the young person is also the parent or main carer of a child.

People aged between 16 and 24 years old can apply if they have been getting certain benefits, including Universal Credit, for a period of six months before their new job start date.

Please share the information with your networks and people you support.

More information can be found at Job Start Payment – mygov.scot.
