Carer Positive Seminar – Practical tips to become accredited
Created: 23/07/2024Aimed at carer provider organisations and any other third sector employer keen to become accredited in Fife, this seminar will take you through the practicalities of becoming Carer Positive accredited.
Some organisations have started their journey and others haven’t, so this is a great opportunity to learn from each other and share ideas.
The seminar will be hosted by FVA, and Sue McLintock, Manager of Carer Positive Awards at Carers Scotland, will talk about practical steps and implications in securing accreditation.
About Carer Positive
Carer Positive is a Scottish initiative to encourage employers to create a supportive work environment for carers.
As the population ages and people stay in work for longer, the number of carers will continue to rise. It's estimated around 1 in 8 employees in every organisation will be carers, with 3 in 5 people in Scotland expected to care for someone at some point in their lives.
In Fife, there already several Carer Positive accredited employers including Fife Carers Centre, Citizens Advice & Rights Fife, Kingdom Housing Association, and Fife Council.
