There has been a slight increase in the number of COVID cases over the last month, which is a good time to review what your plans are.

There are also new variants of COVID now present within the populace which are explained in this blog post.

If your organisation works with vulnerable groups who may be more susceptible to the effects of COVID it is worth checking your current processes and procedures.

The official list of COVID symptoms has not changed, according to the UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency).

    General symptoms can include:

    • High temperature or shivering
    • New, continuous cough
    • Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
    • Shortness of breath
    • Feeling tired or exhausted
    • Aching body
    • Headache
    • Sore throat
    • Blocked or runny nose
    • Loss of appetite
    • Diarrhoea
    • Feeling sick or being sick

Only certain people are entitled to vaccinations under seasonal booster programmes. They are:

    • Aged 75 or over
    • People with a weakened immune system
    • Adults who live in care homes

Vaccinations are now also available privately to those who wish to pay for one, for example through your pharmacy.
