Your hours of work will be worked flexibly in agreement with the employer in advance.Salary: £12.00 per hourLocation: DysartSDS Options is looking for personal assistant to help an 87-year-old female who is looking for a personal assistant to assist her both in the home and out and about, due to mobility issues.
The client walks indoors with sticks or her trolley but uses her scooter when outside. She currently drives but would like someone to either meet her at the shops to assist her for example to get the scooter in/out of her car.
She is highly independent but would welcome suggestion of support she would currently carry out herself.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, and be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.
Occupational Requirement Female Due to the personal care elements of this role an Occupational Requirement applies. This is permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
A driving licence is required. This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
The Role
- Provision of assistance with activities and weekly shop and putting shopping away
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Light housework on occasions inclusive of changing bed, laundry and cleaning and tidying kitchen
- Accompanying to appointments
- Assisting with dressing such as putting on socks, otherwise independent
