Fife Coast & Countryside Trust - Branching Out
Created: 03/04/2024Branching Out is an innovative referral programme of woodland activities for people looking to improve their wellbeing, run by Fife Coast & Countryside Trust.
The programme involves three hours of woodland-based activities once a week for 12 weeks. Participants will be part of a small group of no more than 12 people and have the opportunity to try different activities including photography, conservation, exercise, personal development, learning, and environmental art.
The Trust is working in partnership with The Big Hoof to introduce equine therapy and gardening. They will also bring in experts to hold spoon carving sessions, tai chi, and much more.
Participants don't need any special equipment - they will be provided with any equipment they need, including waterproofs and access to camera equipment.
There is no cost to participate.
Who Should Attend?
This programme is designed for anyone who is negatively impacted by sustained periods of low mood and poor mental health. It is also suitable for those with a defined mental illness.
How To Refer
If you are a wellbeing or mental health service user, please speak to your support worker and ask them to make a referral.
