    The Foundation supports projects that demonstrate and deliver excellence in the arts, be it in performance, exhibition, artistic craft, or scholarly endeavour. Projects involving young people should offer a long-lasting connection between them and the art form and a significant level of participation and achievement at a high standard.

    Fund award sizes

    Maximum: £3,000

    Annually awarded: £82,000

    Notes on award amounts: Annual total and average from 2023 accounts.

    Who can apply

    Arts organisations whose main work is the art form itself, and its perfection or excellence in performance.​

    Exclusions

    • You cannot reapply apply within 12 months
    • Applications from individuals seeking funding for academic or vocational courses are not accepted, though applications from institutions for general bursary funds will be considered
    • Applications from schools are not encouraged, neither are capital appeals from museums, galleries, theatres, arts complexes, or other projects, except by invitation

    Click here for full details on how to apply. Applications should be supplied in digital form and hard copy, which should not be stapled. Accounts and other supporting information should be supplied in hard copy only. 

    All applications for grants should be sent to the administrator at the registered office a few weeks before the scheduled trustees' meeting. The volume of applications is often very high, and the trustees may close the deadline well before the end. 

     

    The closing date for applications is Tuesday 30 April 2024.
