It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Introduction to Deafblind Awareness is a free training course that will be conducted online through Zoom. It is co-facilitated by a project officer and a deafblind individual.

The training session will typically last for two hours, although they are flexible and can make special accommodations if necessary. Their approach encourages interactivity, where participants engage with each other by posing questions such as, "What is your understanding of deafblindness?" and "How would you communicate effectively with a deafblind person?".

    The key topics covered include:

    • Lived experience of a deafblind individual
    • Communication requirements and preferences
    • Examples illustrating visual and hearing loss
    • Techniques for guiding a deafblind individual
