Refugee Festival Scotland 2024 is back and will run 14 - 23 June. This year's theme is RISE.

Thousands of people arrive in Scotland every year after being forced to abandon their homes and flee to safety. We see individuals rise every day to build new lives and pursue new livelihoods, despite facing many challenges and deep uncertainty. Packed with unique events and exceptional talent, the festival honours the resilience and courage of New Scots and celebrates a vision for a Scotland where everyone can blossom and has equal opportunity to thrive.

Refugee Council Scotland would love for you to get involved!

Opportunity for artists from refugee backgrounds

Refugee Scotland is delighted to launch Arts Open as part of Refugee Festival Scotland 2024.

Arts Open is a new initiative which will support three artists from refugee and migrant backgrounds to present their work in Scotland for the first time at this year’s festival.

This opportunity is open to artists working in any discipline. The closing date for Arts Open applications is 11.59am on Friday 01 March 2024.

    A festival for everyone
