SDS Options is looking for a personal assistant to help a 22-year-old female who is looking for a companion to accompany her to activities and assist her with public transport etc. Their client enjoys bowls and football which your assistance to attend would allow her to maintain her independence. Taking your time to build a relationship and meeting the family is a big part of the role. As the client is a vulnerable adult road safety and acting as her supporter is the main function of this post.
SDS Options ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post. The client has autism and a learning disorder so having a caring attitude and being reliable is key. Having experience within this area would be of benefit but not essential.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
A female personal assistant is required. Due to the personal care elements of this role, an occupational requirement applies. This is permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
