    The Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board (SAAB) has recently released a paper on how to make apprenticeships more attractive and accessible to care experienced young people.

    Highlights include:

    • Exploration of apprenticeship uptake levels in care experienced young people
    • Study of why apprenticeship achievement rates in this demographic are lower than the national average
    • Identifying barriers for Care Experienced Young People  
    • Proposals for Skills Development Scotland and Local Authorities
