Tesco Stronger Starts - now prioritising local projects supporting children
Created: 14/12/2023Tesco Stronger Starts is now prioritising local projects that support children and young people and not just from schools.
Tesco Stronger Starts funds thousands of local community projects across the UK. Priority is given to projects that provide healthy food and/or activities that boost children and young people’s mental and physical wellbeing.
Local organisations working with young people, as well as schools, are invited to apply to their closest Tesco store.
Every three months three projects are voted on in-store and this is a great opportunity to promote the good work that groups do at a local level. They are looking for local projects to be in the April – June 2024 customer votes with awards in Aug 2024. To be considered for this in-store voting period applications need to be submitted by early February. Applications received after this time will be eligible for future voting rounds.
Funding up to £1500 is available for projects. The scheme is open to school, community groups, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations and they are looking for applications from across Scotland.
Greenspace Scotland’s team of friendly community enablers can support applicants to apply or answer any questions.
