GIRFE - A proposed multi-agency approach to health and social care support
Created: 14/12/2023Fife is working with the Scottish Government to develop a new practice framework called GIRFE (getting it right for everyone). GIRFE will be a way of working that will put the person at the heart of every decision about their own health and social care needs. It will also help different parts of the Health and Social Work and Social Care system to join up making it easier to share information and work together.
Over the last nine months they have engaged with more than 200 people with lived experience and people who assess for or provide services to people in Fife. This has helped us to understand what is working well or not so well during the transition from children to adult services or accessing services as an adult with a complex health and or care need.
