Our forum in December will be host to a special Mental Health Awareness at Work training session from the Health Promotion Service Workplace Team.

This course would suit managers/supervisors who are interested in exploring mental health and wellbeing and finding out how both can be supported at work.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

    • Define mental health, mental wellbeing and mental illness
    • Understand stigma and discrimination
    • Review the mental health continuum
    • Realise that the workplace can contribute to/impact mental health
    • Explore positive steps to mental wellbeing
    • Consider the manager/supervisor's role in supporting a mentally healthy workplace

The next Health and Social Care Forum is on Thursday 13 February 2025.
