OnFife is Fife's largest cultural organisation specialising in making jaws drop, hearts warm, eyes light up and imaginations run wild. They work with a huge range of partners, artists, and creatives and their spaces are some of Fife's favourite places. An ambitious leadership-oriented charity, they're built on strong values, and those values make us who they are - fearless, inviting, fair and exciting.
OnFife offer a local government pension scheme, generous holiday allowance, and flexible working opportunities. If you need to travel for work, they can provide pool cars if you're near head office or pay travel expenses, so you are not out of pocket! Along with this, you can also access discounted gym/swim memberships and other employee benefits.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the innovative Creative Development team. Working closely with all OnFife teams, you'll help ensure the delivery of imaginative and effective creative projects, events, services, and programming for all ages which is central to the customer experience across libraries, heritage, and theatres.
You'll help support the newly opened creative design suite at Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, work with library colleagues to promote digital engagement through online resources, be responsible for creating innovative social media content, and assist with staff training - for example, for projects such as digital storytelling and code clubs.
Your work days will be as flexible as they hope you are. Evenings and weekend working will be required on occasion (for which you'll receive enhanced pay). This is a wide-reaching and varied role and, as well as supporting the Creative Development team, you'll also contribute to cross-Trust tactical groups working on exciting projects.
Part of your role will be to take part in organising, promoting, and delivering events, activities and services to support local and national initiatives in libraries, heritage, and theatres and in their communities across Fife. This role will be full of fun and challenges. This is a rare opportunity to join a busy creative team and help shape and deliver an exciting service that is of, by and for, the people of Fife.
About You
The successful applicant will have a flexible mindset and be keen to promote OnFife's digital library services, events, and activities to customers. You'll be ready to engage with a variety of teams all working towards ensuring the organisation represents and delivers for all of Fife - and is one you'll be proud to work for. You will need to be organised and motivated and enjoy working as part of a team as well as independently. You'll be confident in communicating with a wide range of people and comfortable using a variety of tools to do so, both in person and online.
