Volunteering can be a great pathway into employment for a lot of people.

Read here about how volunteering has helped young people with disabilities to move towards work in a community museum in Australia.

At Renmark Paringa Community Museum in South Australia, volunteers with disabilities have most noticeably gained confidence as well as practical and social skills.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, people living with a disability are twice as likely to be unemployed than those without a disability - a very similar figure to the UK.
