This session focusses on ‘Intimate Image Abuse’, which can include behaviours such as sharing private sexual images without consent, threats to share private sexual images, voyeurism, and sextortion (also known as webcam blackmail).
This type of abuse is used to threaten, harass, objectify, abuse, and coerce people. Run by the Revenge Porn Helpline, this 90-minute session will introduce the topic of intimate image abuse including:
Helpline Services, including assisting in the removal of non-consensually shared intimate content online and case study examples
Intimate image abuse; different forms of IIA, connections between other forms of abuse and legislation criminalising intimate image abuse
Supporting a victim of intimate image abuse; key messages and signposting to the Revenge Porn Helpline
We will also look at how to support children and young people with this issue with support from Professionals Online Safety Helpline and Report Harmful Content.
