    Created: 10/10/2023
    News/Events Category: Job Vacancies

    Post: Support Practitioner

    Location: Cupar and St Andrews

Make a positive difference in someone's life by joining The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS) in their Fife services and helping support the people who need it most in our communities!

    Requirements

TRFS is looking for caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun, and positive individuals across several services in Cupar and St Andrews. They have full-time, part-time and bank hours contracts available. Particular roles cover day shifts with multiple home visits, and other roles cover day and sleepover shifts in a 24-hour service. Hours of work will be discussed with the Hiring Manager at the interview stage.

As the sleepover service consists of providing support to individuals with behaviour that challenges and severe self-injury behaviour, TRFS is specifically looking for a female candidate with previous care experience. Mobility cars are used at certain services and candidates need to be comfortable to use mobility cars to help the people they support travel in their communities. These roles are open to drivers with access to own vehicles only due to accessing rural locations.

In addition, they have two vacancies available specifically for male applicants, in their Cupar services. These roles cover housing support, home care, social care, criminal justice, and sleepover services, therefore candidates have to be able to cover day and sleepover shifts. For their criminal justice service they are specifically looking for candidates with previous care experience.

Induction training takes place in their Kirkcaldy office. You will be paid for your travel time while on shift and there is also a 45p per mile fuel allowance. Certain services operate enhanced weekend rates. Please note that all posts are offered on a shift pattern basis and will include weekend and public holiday shifts, however they have shift patterns to suit your availability as a part-time or Bank staff member.

Please feel free to contact TRFS on 078846 02630 or [email protected] to discuss your availability.

No previous experience in care is required (unless stated otherwise above) as they provide full in-house training to all new staff members and will even invest in you to achieve your SVQ Level 2, so even if this is a new career path for you, they would love to meet you. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.
