    Barnardo's Empowering Change (BEC) is a community- based service in partnership with Clued Up to work across Fife delivering whole family support on a voluntary basis with families affected by alcohol and substance use.

    The service: 

    • Provides individual and whole family support for families in Fife with children aged 0-26;
    • Provides support to develop strengths, resilience, and personal efficacy;
    • Promotes wellbeing, family relationships, and functioning within the home; 
    • Reduces the level of risk and harm, improving home conditions, and setting recovery-based outcomes. 

    Referral routes include Wellbeing Pathway Stage 2, statutory children's and adult services, third sector organisations, education, and self-referral.
