    Salary: £20,093 per annum (pro rata)

    The Health and Community Services Department provides a range of services that support people who are lonely and isolated to reconnect with their community and add value to their lives. The support includes practical help, emotional support, a variety of activity groups and transport services. Their new Renal Transport Service provides transport for dialysis patients to and from Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline and St Andrews Community Hospital.

    They're currently seeking two Transport Coordinators to join them on a full-time and part-time basis. In this role you will support the day-to-day delivery of the Renal Transport Service and ensuring the delivery of a high quality and person-centred service, you'll recruit and train volunteers and coordinate regular transport for clients to hospital for treatment. You'll support the service manager to meet their service delivery standards and financial targets, maintaining accurate information and ensuring compliance with the relevant policies and procedures. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 35 hours per week, and a temporary part-time role working 20 hours per week. There may also be opportunities for paid overtime in busy periods or to cover absences.

    As a Transport Coordinator, you will need:

    • Experience of working as or with volunteers;
    • Experience of working with confidential information;
    • Experience of working with vulnerable people and identifying issues that may raise concerns about their health or safety;
    • Knowledge and understanding of volunteers and the voluntary sector;
    • Knowledge and understanding of how community health and social care and the NHS work;
    • An understanding of providing a supportive person-centred service
    • Knowledge of GDPR, safeguarding adults, professional boundaries and collaborative working;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • IT proficiency;
    • A full, valid driving licence.
