Lunchtime Learning - What the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy means for Fife
Created: 24/08/2023, Updated: 28/08/2023FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.
The Scottish Government has rolled out the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) & Delivery Plan, which has already been piloted across may local authorities in Scotland.
This highly amitious strategy strategy aims to systematically improve energy efficiency across the entirety of Scotland to keep in line with the Scottish governments net zero targets, and includes a review of all Scottish buildings towards decarbonising heat.
Fife Council is currently developing its local LHEES strategy and delivery plan. Local Authorities are required to publish the first iteration of the LHEES by 31st December 2023 and this will of course have significant implications for the third and public sectors in Fife.
