Salary: £10.90 per hour
Hours: 1 day for 4hrs getting out for a walk and visiting places. Some time Monday-Friday - during the day. Times will be discussed with the successful candidateClosing date: Apply any time
SDS Options are looking for a personal assistant to support a quiet and friendly 24 year old man who has ASD. He enjoys getting out regularly, walking and chatting, and nature. He also enjoys quizzes and generally interacting with those who support him.
When walking, he can set quite a stride and so the successful candidate should be able to keep up with him!
Previous experience with people who have ASD would be an advantage.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
Applicants must have a caring attitude, a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supporting client out on walks;
- Interacting with the client and engaging in his interests;
- Creating fun and interesting activities that will keep him engaged.
