    You may have already seen on their Facebook Page and webpage that Lucky Ewe are in partnership with Winward Education, and they are delivering another SCQF Level 4 Qualification in Rural Skills which is starting on 20 October 2023. 

    The National 4 Skills for Work: Rural Skills is a pre-entry qualification in farming and looking after animals, comprising of 5 practical and 5 evening coursework sessions.

    Students will learn:

    • About land-based careers;
    • How to look after animals;
    • The skills shepherds use day to day: feeding sheep, checking health, handling sheep, moving sheep;
    • Estate maintenance skills: how to use the tools to repair fences, how to set up water pipes, how to prune and plant trees and to repair drystone walls.
