  • FVA hosted online conversation on No One Left Behind - for local providers

    Created: 08/08/2023
    News/Events Category: Employability

The Scottish Government will host a series of full day workshops on No One Left Behind in August to help discuss and influence how the No One Left Behind employability approach develops in coming years.

However, all events are now fully booked, so FVA are hosting an online pre-conversation for local providers who are unable to attend the national sessions.

For context, here is the original statement from Scottish Government outlining the purpose of the sessions:

    "Dear All,

Providing people with the support that they need to move towards, into and to sustain employment is key to achieving our goal of a fairer, more equal and prosperous society.

That is why employability support, and the role it can play in tackling poverty and eradicating structural barriers to participating in the labour market, is central to the Scottish Government’s National Strategy for Economic Transformation.

Scottish and Local Government are offering the opportunity to discuss and influence how the No One Left Behind employability approach develops in coming years. Through these exciting events we are keen to engage with as many voices as possible to reflect how our person-centred, place based model of support No One Left Behind can evolve and improve to deliver effectively for individuals, communities and economy.

Partnership and improvement remain at the heart of this programme of change, and we are committed to ensuring that our plans for further development of this approach are informed by all stakeholders, partners and service user’s views, expertise and experience."

The FVA hosted conversation will be held on:

    Wednesday 16 August, 15:00 – 17:00

    Venue: Online using Teams

If you would like to attend this local discussion then please contact [email protected] to receive the Teams link.
