    Post: Outreach Family Support and Development Worker 
    Salary: £11,107.20
    Hours: Minimum of 16 hours per week but also have flexibility to work hours in addition to this where required.

    The Cottage Family Centre is expanding and they are looking for an experienced practitioner to join their Family Support Service, which provides individual and group work support to parents/carers and their families experiencing a range of social challenges in the Linktown/Inverteil area of Kirkcaldy.

    The successful candidate will be innovative, creative and have the interests of children and families at the heart of their work.  You will be committed and motivated, ensuring that children and their families are prioritised. You will have experience of developing positive working relationships with children and families. You will be familiar with strengths-based approaches and will have strong clear professional boundaries. You will be able to make positive collaborative relationships with other professionals and agencies. You will be flexible, willing to work when necessary outside office hours, reliable and able to make positive relationships with colleagues and partners.  You will need good written skills, excellent verbal communication skills.

    You will have at least two years’ experience of supporting families within a social care/ community setting.  You should hold a minimum qualification of SVQ 3 Services Children and Young People or HNC in Social Care or Working with Communities or equivalent.

    You will be expected to be competent in working with Microsoft based software.

    This post will be subject to a PVG and references.

    You will be expected to work a minimum of 16 hours per week but also have flexibility to work hours in addition to this where required.
