LinkLiving's Step On is a personal development programme for 16–19-year-olds, delivered by LinkLiving, in partnership with Raith Rovers Community Foundation. Participants will have the opportunity to work on self-development, improve mental health and gain employability skills with the help of a dedicated project worker. Support will be offered for up to 52 weeks.
Step On will focus on 3 main areas:
Personal development – participants will build skills for life by completing SCQF Level 4 Personal Development Award
Mental health & resilience - a range of mental health sessions will be delivered via group work to help boost confidence, low mood. Raith Rovers CF will lead a variety of sporting activities to promote leadership and coaching skills.
Pre-employment support – participants will have access to support with employability skills. Including CV, application and interview skills. They can also complete the Employability Award qualification which will help with preparation for employment.
Group sessions will be held at West Bridge Mill, Kirkcaldy every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
One-to-one employability support will be offered to participants on Fridays. All sessions are fun and interactive to allow young people to develop themselves and work on their strengths. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout.
LinkLiving are taking referrals now with the project starting at the end of August.
