    Apt, a Scottish Government funded initiative working to reduce the Disability Employment Gap, are offering employers from across Scotland free training throughout August.

    Up to 24 different online sessions will be available to all organisations of any size, from any sector based and/or operating in Scotland. All free!

    Please use this opportunity for free training for your own in-house learning for managers and cascade to your employer networks far and wide! 

    Here are some of the sessions available:  

    • Conscious Inclusion - Explore the principles and practices of conscious inclusion to foster diverse and equitable environments. Learn strategies for recognising unconscious biases and promoting inclusive behaviours;
    • What is Neurodiversity? - gain an understanding of neurodiversity and the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals with diverse neurological conditions. Explore the benefits of neurodiversity in society and learn how to promote inclusivity;
    • Access to Work: Reasonable Adjustments- learn about the legal rights and obligations surrounding reasonable adjustments in the workplace. Discover practical strategies for providing appropriate accommodations for disabled employees;
    • Disability Awareness- Enhance your awareness and knowledge of disabilities to promote inclusivity. Explore different types of disabilities, common challenges, and strategies for creating accessible and inclusive spaces;
    • Autism Awareness- Gain a deeper understanding of autism spectrum conditions and the experiences of individuals on the spectrum. Learn practical approaches for creating an inclusive and supportive environment;
    • Diversity Data Collection-Gain skills in collecting and analysing data related to disabilities and inclusion. Learn how to effectively gather and utilise data to inform decision-making and promote positive change.
    • LGTBQI and Intersectionality - Explore the intersectionality of LGBTQI identities and disabilities. Learn how to create inclusive spaces that address the unique needs and experiences of individuals at these intersections.
