    News/Events Category: General News

Social Security Scotland has launched a new partnership with the Scottish Grocers Federation as part of its Healthy Living Programme.  This will see Best Start Foods payment promoted at more than 2,200 local convenience stores including Spar, Keystore, Nisa and Premier.

The initiative will raise awareness of the payment and encourage over 30,000 holders of the prepaid card to use it at their local shop. Retailers will display information around their store to let customers know they accept the prepaid card as a method of payment.

Best Start Foods helps pregnant women and families with children under the age of three, who receive certain benefits under a certain amount, with the cost of buying healthy food and milk.

See this video at the Social Security Scotland Twitter Account for more information.
