    Post: Distribution Centre Manager
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
    Salary: £30-£35k
    Location: Lochgelly

    The Big Hoose Project was established in December 2021 to support children and families experiencing poverty across Fife with essential household items. They have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, highly committed and customer-focused Distribution Centre Manager to join their friendly and dynamic team.

    The position would suit someone with experience in delivering outstanding customer service and leading people in a warehouse environment incorporating both inbound and outbound operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage, direct and support a small team to safely and efficiently receive, sort, check and pack customer orders for collection;
    • Develop processes and independently identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and operational efficiency;
    • Maintain and develop positive relationships with customers, suppliers, volunteers and visitors.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in customer facing roles across operations / supply chain / logistics / e-commerce or similar;
    • Ability to lead and motivate people in a fast paced, dynamic and customer-focused environment;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, decision making, coaching and personal development skills;
    • Experience of using and analysing data using Excel, and maintaining accurate stock records.
