    Post:  IFF Kitbag Programme Manager

    Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours a week, or part-time flexibility for the right candidate

    Salary: Salary: 30,000 per year pro rata

    Location: IFF offices at The Boathouse, Aberdour plus remote working and occasional travel to other sites, mostly in Fife

    International Futures Forum has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join its team. Building on foundations already established across Fife and further afield, the IFF Kitbag Programme Manager will have responsibility for deepening the practice in using Kitbag and encouraging its spread. The Kitbag Programme Manager will be expected to provide responsive customer service and relationship management for clients who use or are interested in using Kitbag, co-ordinate and run sessions in the use of Kitbag, support the existing community of practice (largely online), organise and attend events where Kitbag is showcased, publicise stories about Kitbag, form and maintain partnerships to widen the uptake and use of Kitbag and raise funds for the work.

    This work is supported by and, where required, co-delivered with the Director of Health Programmes. Full training and induction will be provided in advance of the next school year when activity will rise again after the summer break.

    Key result areas:

    • Client service management − Responsible for responding to email and phone enquiries, providing information and advice including on the most suitable Kitbag packages to meet requirements and supporting clients through the full process from enquiry, purchase and then embedding use of Kitbag in their context
    • Maintain good relationships with new and returning clients
    • Responsible for set-up and support of Kitbag on-line subscriptions
    • Develop a series of written FAQs based on experience of interacting with customers over time.
    • Training sessions
    • Design and run Kitbag support sessions online and in-person
    • Co-ordinate with clients on timing and format of support sessions
    • Deliver introductory sessions for first-time users of Kitbag (including use of Kitbag On-Line)
    • Deliver reflective learning sessions for experienced users.
    • Support Kitbag Community of Practice
    • Set up events online and in-person for people using Kitbag and the wider IFF Community. e.g. Kitbag Festivals, Kitbag Learning events (Social Workers etc), occasional Kitbag seminars, Wonder Journey monthly on-line gathering
    • Sharing stories from events and good practice with the community and in other media.
    • Develop the Kitbag Ecosystem
    • Work with partners to showcase Kitbag at events and conferences
    • Work with local, national and international partners to grow the use of Kitbag from nursery-age children to college/university leavers, their families and formal care providers
    • Support practitioners to become Kitbag Trainers
    • Support schools to achieve Kitbag School status, taking them through the stages to accreditation and beyond.
    • Produce evidence of impact
    • Capture learning from the use of Kitbag via a range of methods and share this with the Community of Practice and further afield.
    • Raise Funds
    • Work with partners to make the case for funding Kitbag to achieve cultural transformation in Fife and beyond.

    The criteria for the role involve:

    • To be effective you will be committed to the vision and values of IFF and be passionate about Kitbag
    • Experience of and confidence in using Kitbag is key as is the ability to communicate confidently and clearly
    • You will be comfortable working in different situations with all kinds of people
    • As part of a small team, a flexible approach and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done is important.

    Knowledge, skills and experience - essential:

    • In-depth knowledge and experience in using Kitbag including Kitbag on-line (minimum 1 year)
    • Have worked in a team, service or organisation where Kitbag is in regular use
    • IT skills to manage emails, elists, calendars and on-line events Microsoft Teams and Zoom platforms)
    • Numeracy and literacy skills to manage client service management reliably
    • Ability to convene and facilitate training and/or conversations
    • Can design spaces and training to fit clients' needs
    •  Ability to work in a dispersed team, and manage one's own time
    • Good verbal communicator
    • Likes to nurture and develop relationships with people from all backgrounds and abilities
    • Practises care and compassion

    Knowledge, skills, and experience - desirable:

    • Experience of working in Fife
    • Good written communications skills - writing blogs, preparing press releases
    • Knowledge of youth development and children's services
    • Experience working with local authorities, public institutions, professional groups
    • Experience of learning and measurement of impact
    • Experience in supporting and animating communities
    • Experience in fundraising and/or bid writing
