    Post: Caseworker

    Hours: Full time

    Salary: £24,806 (part-time, pro rata)

    Location: The post will be based in Kirkcaldy, but you must be willing to travel throughout Fife

    Fife International Forum is expanding its staff team and looking for highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join its casework team. The roles will involve delivering a holistic information and support service, managing a caseload, and working in partnership with other voluntary sector organisations and local government.

    The organisation seeks to recruit a Caseworker who will work in partnership with colleagues, individuals, and families from international communities to:

    • manage a diverse caseload, engaging with individuals and undertaking a full assessment supporting individuals to tackle the challenges faced
    • empower people to develop the confidence to make decisions about their future and to improve communication with support services
    • develop case plans, identify actions required, and agree on timelines
    • monitor and evaluate progress towards achievement of goals

    A driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable for the role.

    You should have proficiency and confidence in using Microsoft packages and electronic case management systems for this role. You should also have experience of working with vulnerable individuals, ideally within ethnic minority communities. You will have a positive approach to equalities and human rights. Some experience working with triage systems and case working principles would be advantageous. Successful applicants will be expected to have a good command of English, both written and oral, and have the ability to communicate effectively with people whose first language is not English. You will also need the willingness to develop through ongoing learning and reflective practice.
