Are you a third sector organisation operating in Fife that is invested in improving local health and social care standards, for the betterment and benefit of our communities?

Do you have the capacity to meaningfully work with others across different sectors in Fife to learn from each other, share successes and work together on challenges?

If yes, then keep reading as we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a new leadership team where you can hear about the latest developments across health and social care, play a key role in shaping them, and support exploring opportunities for change and improvement.

New leadership team announced by Fife H&SCP!

Fife Health and Social Care Partnership plans to build on the successes of its established Extended Leadership Team (ELT) which involves leaders across the third, public, and private sectors coming together to support the integration journey, make connections, and build stronger professional relationships.

This new opportunity offered by the Partnership will make way for the next level of leaders to come together as part of a new Integration Leadership Team (ILT).

The structure of the ILT will involve representation from across the third, public, and private sectors and its outcomes involve:

    • Increased clarity and a greater understanding and knowledge of the work of the Partnership and other sectors.
    • Space to identify new or different opportunities for integrated working; shifting the balance from silo working wherever possible.
    • The opportunity to be heard and to influence.
    • To hear, share and ultimately value different perspectives, ideas, and expertise.

How the third sector can get involved

We are supporting the Partnership by recruiting 25 individual members from the third sector to be a member of the ILT.

It's important to note that this new team will be more than just a ‘meeting’ where you only come along and listen; instead, it will be a space for members to be solution-focused, communicative, willing to participate/engage, and offer suggestions to tackle challenges. Therefore, we are keen to recruit eager individuals who work in the third sector, are knowledgeable and passionate about the sector, and are confident in their capabilities to meet the membership requirements of the ILT.

Being part of the team will take time and dedication, but it is a valuable opportunity for those in the third sector to work more proactively with partners across health and social care with the aim of influencing and generating change across local services.

The Partnership is running the first ILT meeting at a launch event from 13:00 - 17:00 on 18 May 2023 in Glenrothes. The 25 colleagues that we recruit for the third sector should, if they are available, attend the meeting on 18 May. If you are unable to attend, please still tell us if you would like to join the team as there will be other opportunities later in the year for you to take part.

The event will have interactive inputs and there are opportunities available for organisations to promote their services with a poster board, stall, or similar.

Tell us if you would like to join the ILT!

To be considered as an ILT member, please provide us with your contact details by completing this short Microsoft Form before Thursday 27 April 2023.

Our team will review the information that you supply in the Form and if you are considered suitable to be one of the 25 third sector members, then we will provide you with further details about the first meeting on 18 May.

If you have any questions about the ILT or would like a chat about your suitability to join, please e-mail [email protected] or [email protected] - or call 0800 389 6046 - before the above closing date.

We are looking to acquire as diverse a group of members as possible so please spread the word about this opportunity with your own networks.
