    Hours: 28 p/w
    Salary: £26,577 (pro rata)
    Contract Length: 30 June 2023 with expectation to run to 31 March 2025
    Annual Leave: 37 days (pro-rata) per year including public holidays

    The role with be responsible to the Heart, Mind and Soul Project Manager/Operations Manager and will be based Silverburn Park, Leven with occasional travel within Fife. Heart, Mind and Soul is a volunteer project based at Silverburn Park in Leven. Volunteers give their time to help us maintain the Walled Garden and 27 acres of mixed woodland. They are vital to keeping Silverburn beautiful. In return they will learn new skills, enjoy socialising with each other and hopefully feel a sense of achievement, giving their time to their community.

    As the Volunteer Progression Officer, you will be responsible for designing and executing a plan for helping volunteers to move through their journey, rotating tasks, trying out new ones and stretching comfort zones. Working alongside a Gardener, who will organise and supervise practical tasks and volunteer sessions, and another Volunteer Progression Officer, the key areas of the overall programme are:

    • Delivering activities which will help implement the overall Park master-plan;
    • Conservation Management Plan and Urban Woodland Management Plan supported by individual and group volunteers, peer supporters, local community members and partnership organisations;
    • Volunteer progression and development into employment, within Silverburn and more widely.
