  • DWP and Citizens Advice and Rights Scotland - right to claim benefits

    Created: 30/03/2023
    News/Events Category: General News

This week, it was announced that Citizens Advice and Citizens Advice Scotland will continue to deliver Help to Claim support which provides free and impartial advice to people to make their Universal Credit Claim online. This investment of more than £22million means that the provision will be extended to 31 March 2024.  Help to Claim provides free confidential support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim.

Claimants will be able to access support and advice online or by phone. For those who are unable to access support via these channels, claimants will be able to contact their local jobcentre, where staff will help to identify the right support to meet their needs.

For further information about how to claim please visit the UK Government webpage on Universal Credit.
