    Created: 16/03/2023
    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 11:30, Wednesday 29 March 2023
Where: Gateway Building, University of St Andrews, N Haugh, St Andrews KY16 9RJ

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

ScotGEM - Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine - students engage with a growing network of third sector providers to experience firsthand what the sector does and the impact it has. Students actively contribute to the organisations, whilst adding value to their learning and development.

To celebrate the successes of this engagement, the ScotGEM Agents of Change team invites groups and communities to a Celebration Event at 11:30 on 29 March in the Gateway Building, University of St Andrews, followed by a light lunch and networking.

The event will bring together ScotGEM students, third sector providers, and academics to celebrate, recognise and develop ongoing placement partnerships, and to thank partners for their valuable contribution to the programme.

As well as finding out more about ScotGEM Agents of Change, the team welcomes you along to:

    • Connect and share
    • Activate change
    • Spark ideas
    • Shape the future

Attendees will support a growing community of practice by sharing thoughts on the following themes:

    • Knowledge exchange – sharing and exploring key learning and insight emerging from ScotGEM student placements with third sector providers
    • Community partnerships and involvement – recognising the value of and building further community engagement, cross sectoral partnerships, and interdisciplinary networks
    • Collaborative leadership – creating opportunities to share ideas for change and inform future thinking
    • Positive impact evidence– of community engagement placements on students, local communities, and the University

Book a place at this event by completing this MS Form by 20 March. Do extend this invitation to colleagues who may be interested in ScotGEM or facilitating the student placements.
