    News/Events Category: General News

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on Community Wealth Building (CWB) legislation. This follows a commitment in the 2021-22 Programme for Government to introduce legislation on CWB within this Parliamentary session.

This consultation is the opportunity for all interested stakeholders to participate in shaping the content of legislation on Community Wealth Building.

Views are being sought on proposals to help grow local economies and ensure more money stays in the hands of communities. The consultation launched on 31 January 2023 and will run for 12 weeks.

Anyone who wishes to have their say on Community Wealth Building legislation can do so here: https://consult.gov.scot/economic-development/community-wealth-building-consultation.

An online event with the Minister for Public Finance, Planning and Community Wealth, Tom Arthur MSP, will take place on Thursday 16 March 2023 between 10:00 -11:30 on Microsoft Teams:  Register here.
