    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    The Scottish Government acknowledged the Climate Emergency in 2019 and Scotland’s ambitious climate change legislation now sets a target date for net zero emissions of all greenhouse gases by 2045, and in response to this Scotland’s green economy is expanding.   Climate literacy is a vital component in reducing carbon emissions, and will become an increasingly important factor in keeping the workforce employable.  Scotland’s employees will need to be appropriately skilled to address both the Climate Emergency and changes to working practices that Scotland’s businesses and public and third sector employers will need to adopt going forward.

    Climate Knowhow training is delivered as part of the Climate Action Fife project which brings together individuals, communities, local government and businesses to tackle the climate emergency and make Fife a greener and fairer place to live.This session is open to partners who are aware of the need to upskill the workforce to prepare for forthcoming changes in the employability landscape to meet the and manage response to the Climate Emergency.

    Participants will find out :

    • What are the major contributors to climate change;
    • The impacts of the climate emergency on quality of life, safety and health globally, nationally and in Fife;
    • What we can do collectively to change the way we work and live to tackle the climate emergency;
    • How an organisation can prepare and apply for Climate Literacy Accreditation at Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels  – awarded by the Carbon Literacy Project.

    Part of the session will include personal climate literacy accreditation, awarded to individuals by the Carbon Literacy Project.  This personal accreditation will become increasingly important to workforces in the future, and helps organisations on the way to achieving accreditation as a Carbon Literate Organisation.
