    Want to find out more about how volunteering can help you? The difference it can make to finding work, your health and more? Or maybe you want to know what's involved in volunteering?  Then this free training is for you.

    The training is delivered over three sessions and is intended to support you to take your first steps into a volunteering role. This training will also help you if you are hoping to get started with an organisation - maybe they're waiting on your background checks, or to arrange specific training for that organisation - you'll be welcome here too, as these sessions will be a useful addition to anything you do in the future.

    You'll find out about -

    • the variety of roles and opportunities that are available
    • what to expect
    • the benefits of volunteering for you
    • deciding on how much time you wish to commit

    The training will also include practical support, ranging from completing volunteer application forms, preparing to meet your chosen charity and the support provided whilst you are volunteering. You will receive a certificate on completion of the training.

    •Stage 2 – Boundaries and Support - Thursday 23 March, 1.30-4.00pm

    •Stage 3 – Practical Elements of Volunteering - Thursday 30 March, 1.30-4.00pm

    All sessions are at the same place, same time, and on the same day over three weeks  - Thursdays, 1.30pm-4.00pm To make sure you have access to all information and to receive your certificate, you need to book onto and attend all three sessions.
