Fife Violence Against Women Partnership - Under Pressure training
Created: 28/01/2023, Updated: 31/01/2023Young People are under more pressure than ever before. Contributing factors such as social media, porn, sex, relationship, and gender roles put a worrying amount of weight on adolescents.
Under Pressure is a national training programme developed by Zero Tolerance that aims to support professionals working with young people to open discussions with them about some of the challenges and pressures they may be facing including: potential risks of grooming and sexual exploitation, negotiating online safety, engaging in healthy consent-based relationships, and dealing with the pressures to conform to idealised models of 'how to be' men and women.
It also takes participants through an introduction to gender and gender-based abuse. This training is suitable for anyone who supports young people. Trainees will receive access to Under Pressure training resources for use with young people.
This course takes place via MS Teams from 09:30 - 12:30 on 09 March 2023. Please apply using the training application form which can be found on Fife Violence Against Women Partnership's website.
