FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

A revolution has begun in the digital world. Artificial Intelligence has taken a great leap forward, and tools harnessing AI’s potential have gone mainstream. But as the wider public play with systems like Midjourney, Dall-E 2 and ChatGPT for their own amusement, others are looking to harness that potential in more tangible ways - some for good, others not so…

At this session, Michael Nicholson (Fife Voluntary Action) will explore:

    • What exactly AI tools are, and why they’ve suddenly become popular
    • Where the third sector has already begun - or could soon be- using AI tools to benefit its work
    • The additional risks to personal and organisational cybersecurity created by AI
    • What's coming up in the next few years, and whether the sector is ready

This session does not assume any technological skill or knowledge, and is being delivered to coincide with Cyber Scotland Week 2023.
