It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

NHS Fife is running a course to help you feel more aware of and skilled in ways to promote flourishing in children and young people. This course takes place on 15 February 2023.

Flourishing is another way of saying good mental health or emotional wellbeing. It means being able to enjoy life, cope with life's difficulties and believe that you have something you can give to others.

This course will help you to:

    • Understand the importance of helping children and young people to grow in confidence, to balance their emotions, develop their character strengths and become more mindful, in order to help them flourish.
    • Understand the different components of these qualities.
    • Pay attention to your own mental wellbeing and what helps you to flourish.
    • Explore various practical tools by which we can help children and young people to flourish.
    • Reflect on your own experience and learn from each other.

The day is full of practical, evidence-based information introduced and illustrated through slides, videos and group discussions. You will have plenty of time to reflect in small groups and try out some of the activities. You will also be introduced to a tool called Four Caring Principles - a practical framework to help you on a daily basis to help children and young people to care for themselves, other people and the things around them.

    Who should attend

This course is suitable for anyone who works with children or young people in Fife.

    How to apply

Please complete this application form. The closing date for applications is Friday 27 January 2023. NHS Fife will contact you after this date to let you know if you have a place.
