Post: Income Maximisation Worker - Making it Work for Families

    Hours: 24 hours per week

    Salary: £26,721 Pro-rata

Contract: Funded to 31 December 2023

Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people. Its service continues to grow and expand, and the team is now delighted to recruit a new Income Maximisation Worker to join the highly successful Making it Work for Families project.

The successful applicant will work alongside existing partners Fife Gingerbread, Clued-Up and Fife Intensive Rehabilitation and Substance Use Team, to provide income maximisation advice and support including assessing welfare benefit entitlement, budgeting assistance, and information on banking services and affordable credit. The service will also actively refer both internally and externally where further issues are identified e.g. debt issues.

The successful candidate should have a desire to help lone parents and families and will need to be well organised with good planning skills with a well-disciplined approach to work.

Experience of working in an advice giving capacity and/or a knowledge or interest in the social security system would be advantageous but not essential.

Please download the application pack or for an informal discussion contact Laura McNeilly via: [email protected] or by telephone 01592 765 426.

CARF is committed to Equal Opportunities and applications are welcome from all communities. The successful applicant will also be required to undertake a basic disclosure.

The closing date for applications is 12:00 on Friday 10 February 2023 with interviews scheduled for Thursday 23 February 2023. Previous applicants need not apply.
