Hillcrest Futures' Houston Court is an outreach service and operates 7 days per week between the hours of 07:00 - 22:00. The individual’s needs within these services cover a wide range including learning disabilities, complex needs, mental health and autism. The individuals have their own tenancies and require support to keep their homes safe, secure and how they would like it.
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Deliver a high standard of care for individual’s in-line with their outcomes plans
- Provide holistic daily living support to individuals, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and personal care, including intimate personal care
- Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social and other meaningful activities
- Provide active support to enable individuals to achieve and manage their health and social care needs through a holistic and person-centred approach
You will:
- Have a positive flexible attitude
- Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
- Have good time-keeping and organisational skills
- Be able to demonstrate transferrable skills relating to care
- Have the right values, behavours and attitude to work effectively with individuals who reuire care and support
- Have a can do attitude and be willing to be part of a team as well as working on your own
- Possess an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness to undertake study to achieve this
- Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
You will receive £500 if you are successfully appointed with Hillcrest Futures. £250 on successful completion of your 6 month probation period and £250 on successful completion of 12 months service.
