This new scheme aims to support people in high vulnerability locations who need help to stay safe and warm over the winter. It will provide funding and support for local initiatives helping customers with carbon monoxide safety and alleviating fuel poverty.
SGN looks after the gas network in the south of England and across Scotland. In Scotland, there is already significant support from SGN, but two specific locations have been identified as being less well provided for. Awards of approximately £10,000 are being made available for initiatives in Scotland working in:
Burntisland, Fife and Kirkcaldy
Glasgow (near the Simshill, Rutherglen areas).
