Created: 21/11/2022Post: Senior Support Worker
Location: Glenrothes
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland (TRFS) is looking for enthusiastic, resilient, proactive, committed and charismatic individuals to join its team in Glenrothes. This post is full time and TRFS is looking for applications from drivers with access to their own vehicle preferably. You will be responsible for leading varied and complex services. As a Senior Support Worker, your duties will involve managing and mentoring a team of support staff, identify training needs, writing detailed support plans, completing risk assessments, rota management and participating in regular review meetings. An important part of the role is to develop your staff team to promote, implement and maintain meaningful activities and relationships for the individuals in a person-centred way.
All successful Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer- this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references, PVG and a Covid-19 related risk assessment. Please note that Care Workers are absolutely critical to the social care needs of the community. Therefore, the Scottish Government will cover the cost of PVG checks till 31 March 2023.
The successful applicant must also register with SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services on taking up the post.
PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector.
