Fife's health and social care workforce are collectively one of our greatest assets and a very rewarding sector to work in - from the difference care makes to vulnerable people's lives to the many training and skill-building opportunities it provides to staff.

However, organisations face ongoing challenges with recruiting staff, which in turn impacts the quality and delivery of their services.

Engaging and communicating with potential workforce candidates, as well as supporting them to find the right role for them within health and social care, is the key aim of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership's new recruitment campaign – which is being led by a TV advert on STV and encourages people to consider exploring health and social care as a profession.

Alongside the campaign, we, the Partnership and partners from the independent sector, will soon offer an informal weekly one-hour Teams call to connect anyone looking for work with an FVA staff member who will chat with them about their needs, wants, and capacity, provide information about health and social care as a profession, and signpost them to local job opportunities, pertaining to their needs.

Staff will signpost the person to organisations and opportunities that best suit the interests and needs of the person.

We're delighted to offer this service and hope we can connect some interested folks with the right job opportunities.

We need to hear from you!

For us to get this right, we need to hear from organisations in Fife that offer health, mental health, and/or social care services (including befriending, advocacy, shopping support, etc) about the type of staff you are looking to recruit and the opportunities that you have available.

With this information, our staff can signpost individuals to you to explore your job opportunities if their needs, interests, and capacity suit your field of work and what you need in terms of staff.

If you would like to get involved, please send an e-mail to Eloise (Policy and Communications Officer, FVA) at [email protected] - providing information on the below:

    • A brief description of your service (no more than 250 words)
    • Detail on the job opportunities you have available (the Fife locality the jobs are based in (if multiple or Fife-wide, tell us), the types of roles available, the hours/days you need staff to work, the permanency of the role - is it permanent or fixed-term? )
    • Details on salary per hour
    • Any other information that you think is important to highlight

Once we have your information, our staff can access your details to signpost potential candidates to you. Over the next few weeks, we plan to develop an easier method of collecting and collating this information - we'll be in touch once we have this in place.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the above further, please e-mail [email protected] or call 0800 389 6046.
