He is a very chatty person when he feels comfortable and confident in his own surroundings, however, when meeting new people, he can become withdrawn, feel nervous and lack confidence.

Once he gets to know someone, he tends to become more comfortable and become very chatty.

He would like you to be able to help him build upon his own personal confidence to help him to meet new people and establish relationships at his own pace and without any pressure.

His main personal goal in life is to find a romantic relationship. And so, it is important to him, that he receives help in trying to build confidence and in meeting new people in order to achieve this goal.

Because of his major depressive disorder, sometimes he can have very bad down days, therefore you must have a patient and calm approach.

He takes time to establish trust with people, so respect and honesty are very important.

Having structure and routine in his daily life is also helpful.

You will be required to assist the client with the following:

    • Participating in activities that he enjoys such as computing and retro gaming.
    • Accompanying him to appointments as required.
    • Helping him find a potential partner and make new friends.
    •  Accompanying him to social activities, trips, and days out.
    • Actively supporting leisure and meaningful activities both inside and outside of his home.
    • Help him to seek out activities that he can do to meet new people at his own pace.
    • To help him with everyday skills.
    • Assisting him to build his confidence to meet new people.
    • Help him establish new friends and relationships with people.
    • Support him with his own choices and decisions.
    • Helping him to build upon and develop skills.
    • Ensuring his safety and wellbeing at all times.
