This event is being organised by Fife Voluntary Action

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works or volunteers in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.

Volunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation, and our Forums are a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and reduce any sense of isolation you may have. There's also the chance to network (formally and informally), catch up with changes happening in the field, discuss issues you may have and ask questions of the guest speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance.

Our speaker on this occasion is Fiona Isard, Head of Individual Giving and Marketing Manager at SSPCA, who will present to us information on ‘Using social media to get your message out’.

Whilst your organisation will certainly have important messages that you’ll want to share around your mission, values and so on, for most of us, volunteer recruitment will be at the forefront. Fiona will help us think through and plan how best to use social media for this – what we want to achieve, how we best achieve this, and much more. There will be a chance to ask Fiona questions and spend time with other volunteer managers, sharing and working through ideas and thoughts for how this might help you achieve your goals.

There will be time at the start of the session for informal networking over a cuppa (the first 15 minutes of the forum (13:45 - 14:00). During this time, you can catch up with peers, but there will be time later in the event to have more structured time to explore your issues or concerns.

We look forward to welcoming you – register your place now.
