Rural Skills Scotland is recruiting for its Grounds for Growth programme for Kirkcaldy and South West Fife starting on 22 August 2022.

This is a 5-week training course aimed at those who are currently unemployed and offering training and practical skills required to work outdoors in the rural sector. The training will include Brush Cutter and Strimmer, Emergency First Aid + F, Manual Handling and Health and Safety. For those securing a place on the course, they will be given appropriate PPE and a Fife-wide bus pass for the duration of the course.

For those who complete the course, they will be interviewed for a place on a 12-week paid programme. This will allow participants the chance to build up experience in a work setting whilst having the chance to take part in placements with local employers.

For those who might be interested, or for more information, then please call Jacky Carstairs, Rural Skills Scotland on 07725 849 671 or e-mail at [email protected]
